Everyone in this world, including all the students and those people who have already working, definitely will feel sleepy sometimes and I'm sure that the question that they think is how to stay awake during those bore time. As for me, as a student, will also feel sleepy during classes, especially in the classes that the subject that i dislike.
To stay awake during classes, we can eat energizing and healthy food to keep us going. Maybe we can have some caffeinated drink such as Nescafe, coffee and so on before classes. Besides caffeinated drink, we also can drink some essence of chicken or "Red Bull" to stay awake and alert in classes. We must also eat well and follow the food pyramid to ensure that we eat a healthy meal. We should eat plenty of proteinand carbohydrates to give ourselves energy. However, we should avoid eat too much oily food and fast food. For example, nasi lemak, fried chicken, french fries, Pizza and so on. This is because eat too much oily food or fast food will make us feel sleepy and tired. Besides that, we should also do revision before the classes. This is because if we are ready to learn and had make preparation for the lesson that lecturer teaching, we can more understand when lecturer teaching.
Other than this, we must also lead a healthy lifestyle. We must having adequate rest and sleep to avoid dozing off in classes. We must get a good night's sleep the night before. We should not get use to stay up late to attend or do something else such as clubbing, chatting online, play game and so on. If we are stay up late, we will not energetic on the next day and may feel lethargic and tired during classes. It may be hard to get ourselves to go to bed at 10pm but getting a full night sleep (8-9 hours) is key to the rest of the day. Besides that, we should also exercise regularly. We can regular go for jogging and cycling as the exercise activities at least 3 times in 1 week. Exercise regularly will make us healthier and more energetic so that we won't feel sleep during classes.
Keep ourselves busy in class is the most helpful and effective way to let us keep awake and alert. During the classes, we can take notes while lecturer teaching and we can participate in class discussion whenever we feel the need of dozing off. When we are pay attention in what lecturer are trying to teach us, we will certainly concentrate and pay full attention and we have no time to let us fall in sleep in the classes. Morover, we can also eat some snacks during classes to stay awake, for examples chocolate, sweets, gums, biscuits, and so on. By this action, we will not feel boring in the classes and won't feel sleepy during classes. Another way to stay awake in classes is we can sit in front in the class. This is because when we are sitting in front, we may have eye contact with lecturer and have direct gaze of the lecturer and this willl overcome our drowsiness in class.
In conclusion, we must try our best to overcome drowsiness and stay awake during classes so that we won't waste time and money by dozing off in classes.

ReplyDeleteExcellent steps and very well-developed! Good ^^ but this essay doesn't have a thesis statement at the end of the introduction :( Must have a sentence at the end to help the reader know how the main ideas are arranged.
The main ideas will also show us what the entire paragraph is about but the first main idea's topic sentence is on eating well. But at the end of that paragraph, the idea became must prepare our lessons before class. This is incorrect ya...Nevertheless the next 2 main ideas are ok ^^
there are some minor grammar errors, for ex: bore time is supposed to be boring time. Other than that, everything else seems good ^^
Oh ya, the conclusion should be more than a sentence :P
